The Making Process
From raw ingredients to your bathroom shelf — a 6-week journey.
Mixing the Base
We combine coconut oil, olive oil, and shea butter in exact ratios. Natural lye is carefully added to trigger saponification — the chemical reaction that turns oils into soap.
Adding Botanicals
Once the base reaches trace stage, we fold in the star ingredients — orange peel powder, banana extract, herbal infusions, and essential oils for fragrance and skin benefits.
Natural Colouring
No artificial dyes. The colour of each soap comes entirely from its ingredients: orange peels give warm amber hues, green herbs create earthy tones, turmeric brings golden warmth.
Pouring & Moulding
The soap mixture is poured into handcrafted wooden moulds lined with parchment. Each bar is shaped with care, ensuring consistent weight and size.
Unmoulding & Cutting
After 24–48 hours, the soap is firm enough to unmould. We hand-cut each loaf into individual bars and gently stamp the Clesther mark.
Curing
This is the most important step. Bars rest on open-air wooden racks for 4–6 weeks. Curing evaporates excess moisture, hardens the bar, and makes it milder and longer-lasting.
Quality Testing
Every batch is tested for pH balance (should be 8–10 for skin safety), lather quality, scent retention, and skin feel before being wrapped and shipped.
Eco Packaging
Bars are wrapped in recycled kraft paper with a seed paper label — you can plant the label and grow wildflowers! Shipped in biodegradable packaging.
Why Cold Process?
We use the cold-process method because it preserves the natural glycerin that forms during saponification. Commercial soaps remove glycerin to sell separately — we keep it all in, giving your skin its natural moisturising benefit with every wash.
